Warm Color Explorations

Recommended creative playtime: 10-20 minutes; 30+ minutes (you can spend as little or much time on this as you have to spare)

Skill Level: All (it’s always all skill levels!)

Materials needed: sketchbook, pencil, sharpie, oil pastels, scissors, gluestick,  stencils, collage papers. Optional: watercolors, cup for water, and brush

Warm colors include shades of red, yellow, orange, red-violet and brown. They are colors of the sun, sand and fire, and can evoke feelings of passion, vitality, anger but also happiness!

Using the materials in your Mixed Media Kit, explore the ways to express the feelings of warm colors. Create mixed media warm color story using your oil pastels, collage papers, and watercolors.
